The history of this snare goes back to the very first snare made in 2013. Unfortunately, my first attempt failed, and it was immediately the starting signal with Solid Drums in 2014. I thought to myself, there has to be a better way to do it. In the photos you can still see remains of the very first shell from 2013. The wood from back then was just enough to build a single snare for the 10 years anniversary. Ipè is one of the heaviest woods in the world and is one of the hardest woods to work with. In contrast to the Plum snare of the same size, this one is a whopping 950 grams heavier. A grain that is almost unbeatable. The wood was stored for 10 years before I was ready to use it! It sounds like a hammer !
